When migrating an existing database to a new environment, the developer may have to alter the existing database schema.  The users, however, will typically want to save the data contained in the current system.  This can cause conflicts when attempting to load the data contained in the existing system into the new one.  Our work in this area focused on the successful migration and implementation of a PC-based database for RAIN Oklahoma that included the design of a new database schema.
