Meng received her Master of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Oklahoma in 1997.  She received her M.S. in Computer Science in May, 2000.  Meng was a Research Assistant at the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH), where she developed a Web-enabled database user interface for the Oklahoma State Immunization Information System. OSDH is examining different ways of making immunization records available to physicians across the state via the World Wide Web. Meng prototyped solutions and evaluated different Java technologies such as Java Servlets for this purpose. Outside of work, she researched energy efficient data broadcasting in ad-hoc mobile wireless networks under the guidance of Dr. Gruenwald.
