Leslie Fife is a Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the Hawaii
Campus of Brigham Young University in Laie, Hawaii. He has been a member
of the faculty since the Spring of 2002. Previously, he taught at
Oklahoma City University. He is married with four children.
Leslie received a B.S. in C.S. (1988), M.S. (Computer Science - 1993) and
Ph. D. (Computer Science - 2003), all from the University of Oklahoma.
Leslie is active in Church and volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America. He is a member of the American Legion, National Eagle Scout Association, National Rifle Association,
Oklahoma Rifle Association and HAwaii Rifle Association.
Professionally, he is a member of the ACM, IEEE, and IEEE-CS. He is an A+ Certified Computer Technician and a Certified COmputing Professional (ICCP).
His research and research interests primarily include Mobile Ad-hoc
Network Database Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Vision
(specifically gesture recognition and handwriting analysis) and Computer
Science Education.
