General information for prospective graduate students can be found on the Graduate College page
as well as below.
Those students interested in fellowship information should visit our fellowships page.
In addition to meeting the general requirements of
the Graduate College, prospective students are expected
to have previously earned a BS degree or its equivalent
in computer science. Students with baccalaureate degrees
in other disciplines, such as physical sciences or
mathematics who meet the Graduate College requirements,
may be conditionally admitted to the CS graduate program
with the stipulation that the specified undergraduate
courses must be satisfactorily completed to correct
deficiencies in their background.
Documents required for a graduate admissions application
include:
- GRE general examination original score reports
sent directly from ETS.
- Three letters of recommendation
which evaluate the
candidate's potential for success as a graduate
student. These must be original letters on letterhead.
- All transcripts from other universities or colleges
other than the University of Oklahoma where
you have attended.
- TOEFL examination scores
for international students. A score of 550 on
the paper version or 213
on the computerized version is necessary.
A copy
must be
forwarded to the Admissions
office, unless
you have completed 24 hours of course work
at a
school in the
United States since the score date.
For full consideration, applications should be received by January 15 annually. If
January 15 falls on a weekend or a holiday, applications are due on the following
Monday.
All transcripts, GRE scores and recommendation
letters must be received by the School of Computer
Science
by the dates above.
